In 1980, Namco created a character that was small, round and yellow. It's mouth consisted of a piece cut out of the main circle, like a slice of cake. Pac-Man was born.

It was a huge hit in the arcades across the globe, and Pac-Man is still going strong today. Namco's latest release was last year's Pac-Man World for the Sony PlayStation, which saw Pac in a brand new world and also included an arcade-perfect version of the original Pac-Man, plus an all-new maze-mode. I know some people who don't understand the Pac-Cult don't understand what all the fuss is about, but I actually bought a PlayStation primarily to play this game!
