| Badge |
After calling the space
police for the first time, the officer drops the badge. You can give
the badge to the purple tentacle to allow you to pass. |
| Batteries |
The old batteries aren't
good for much, so you need newer batteries. There just happens to
be some batteries in the radio by the pool. Unfortunately, the radio
is floating on the chair in the pool. Use someone to drain the pool
and then climb in the pool to get it. To drain the pool, you need
to find the pool valve, which is located inside the grating (which
is in front of the mansion). In order to open the grating, you have
to be strong enough (use the Hunk-O-Matic to bulk up). Use the batteries
for the flashlight before attempting to fix any wires.. |
| Bottle of Developer |
Found in the back storage
room (off the dining room). If you are using Michael, you can use
this bottle to develope some film. |
| Bowl of Wax Fruit |
Found in the artist room.
Wax fruit is more filling than regular fruit. Should satisfy someone's
hungry appetite. Give this bowl to the green tentacle. |
| Broken Bottles of Ketchup |
Found in the kitchen fridge. |
| Can of Pepsi |
Found in the kitchen fridge.
DO NOT give this to the hungry Green Tentacle. You need this to feed
the man-eating plant later on. |
| Canned Goods |
Found in the back storage
room (off the dining room). Good for hungry individuals. Or for hungry
tentacles. |
| Card Key |
Found in Wierd Ed's room.
This card is used to open the door to the meteor's room. |
| Cassette Tape |
Found in the library (the
back room with the broken staircase), behind the loose panel. Great
for recoding things. You can record high pitched shrieks (great for
breaking chadeliers). Or, if you are playing with either Razor or
Syd, you can record a demo tape. Use the tape in the cassette player
in the room with the piano, hit record and then play the piano. |
| Chainsaw |
Found in the kitchen. Not
very useful, but it's funny to see what the reactions are when you
try to use it on certain things. |
| Cheese |
Found in the kitchen fridge.
Hamsters like cheese. And hamster owners like to give their hamsters
cheese. Give these to Wierd Ed and you'll gain his trust. |
| Demo Tape |
You get this from the green
tentacle if you can convince him you know something about music. If
you are using Razor or Syd, create your own tape (by playing the piano
and recording a song on the cassette tape). Go to the Green Tentacle's
room and give the cassette tape to the Green Tentacle. He'll tell
you about his band and give you the demo tape. |
| Dime |
4 dimes are in the game
and are required to turn the coin operated "really powerful telescope"
(in the room above the man-eating plant). One can be found in the
room with the wanted poster (on the floor near the bed), and the other
3 can be found in Weird Ed's piggy bank ("Open" the piggy
bank and it will break, then pick up the coins). |
| Envelope |
Found in the safe. Envelopes
can be used to mail something. Do you have anything you want to mail?
Such as manuscripts, photographs, demo tapes and such? Mail any of
these items to "Three Guys Who Will Publish Anything" (you
can get their address from the T.V. commercial). |
| Film |
A photographer might know
what to do with this. If you are using Michael, he can develop the
film in the photography lab. |
| Flashlight |
Found on the kitchen counter.
Great for lighting dark places. There is a point where you need to
turn off the circuit breakers in the game (in the basement, off the
dungeon) in order to fix some wires (in the room with the boarded
windows). With the circuit breakers turned off, you need some light.
Use the old batteries in the flashlight, and then use the tools on
the wires. |
| Fruit Drinks |
Found in the back storage
room (off the dining room). Always good when someone's thirsty. Green
Tentacle likes this stuff. |
| Glass Jar |
Found in the back storage
room (off the dining room). Great for carrying fluids. |
| Glowing Key |
Found at the bottom of
the pool. This key opens the outer door to Dr. Fred's 'Secret' Lab.
To obtain the key, you need to empty the pool. First, have someone
use the Hunk-O-Matic weight machine, then have that person go to the
front of the house. There are some bushes you can pull, underneath
which is a grating. If you are strong enough, you can force open the
grating and get access to the water pipes. Turn the water handle and
the pool will drain. |
| Hamster |
Found in Ed's room. This
is Ed's friend ... his only friend. If you are using Razor, try using
the hamster in the microwave and then show the remains to Ed (be sure
to save first). |
| Key |
Found under the front door
mat. Use this to open the front door and enter the house. |
| Lettuce |
Found in the kitchen fridge.
Not really useful. Can be fed to someone or something. Green Tentacle
or the plant will chomp this down. |
| Manuscript |
Found in the office (the
room with the blackboard and the real skeleton) in the desk drawer.
If you are using Wendy, use the manuscript on the typewriter (in the
room with the man-eating plant). |
| Old Batteries |
Found in the kitchen fridge.
What items need batteries? These might be useful in the flashlight.
Save the regular batteries for the radio. |
| Old Record |
Found in the room with
the piano. Plays an old songs that skips. |
| Old Rotting Turkey |
Found in the dining room. |
| Paint Brush |
Found in the artist room.
This little tool will help an aspiring painter. |
| Paint Remover |
Found in the artist room.
Great for removing paint. Try using the paint on the wall that was
poorly painted (in the room where the man-eating plant is). You might
find something hidden there. |
| Quarter |
There are two quarters
in the game. One is located in the sealed envelope, which
is located in the safe. The other is in Dr. Fred's possession. Once
you have fixed the wires (in the room with the boarded windows), Dr.
Fred will go and play a video game (you'll see a cut scene). If you
have obtained the small key fron Nurse Edna's room, you can
use the small key to open the video game and get the quarter. |
| Radiation Suit |
Found in the secret lab. Put this on
before attempting to handle the meteor. |
| Radio Tube |
Found in the living room
(the room with the chandelier) in the old radio. If you are using
Bernard, he's smart enough to know how to pick it up and make use
of it. Take the radio tube into the room with the wanted
poster and use the radio tube in the tube socket. |
| Record |
Found in the Green Tentacle's
room. Use this record on the Victrola upstairs (in the room with the
piano). Note that the vase shatters. Record the high pitching sound
on a cassette tape, then bring the cassette tape
to the living room (with the chandelier). Play the cassette tape
on the cassette player and the sound will shatter the chandelier
and make the key fall. How did the key get up there in the first place?
Also, for fun, play the record in Green Tentacle's room (save the
game first). |
| Record Contract |
If you mailed in Green Tentacle's demo
tape to Three Guys Who Publish Anything, you will recieve the record
contract in the mail. Give the contact to Green Tentacle for
some support later on. |
| Rusty Key |
This key is found in the
living room chandelier. To get the key, you need to have the cassette
tape (from the library) and the record (from Green Tentacle's
room). Use these items in the Victrola and the cassette player in
the room with the piano. Record the records screeching sound onto
the tape (note that the vase breaks). Use the cassette tape
in the living room cassette player and the chandelier should shatter,
throwing the key onto the floor. This key unlocks the dungeon door
and is not required to finish the game (as there are other ways to
enter the dungeon). |
| Silver Key |
And another key. Opens
the door in the storage room (the room after the dining room, that
leads to the pool). |
| Small Key |
Found in Nurse Edna's room
(you will have to sacrifice one kid to the dungeon to distract Nurse
Edna while someone else enters the room and takes the key). Use this
key to open the video game machines. |
| Sponge |
Found in the bathroom where
Dead Cousin Ted is. This sponge can be used to soak up liquid.
When you reach for the bottle of developer (in the back room,
at the end of the dining room), the bottle falls off the shelf and
shatters on the grate on the floor. If you have the sponge, go to
the front of the mansion, move the bushes and open the grating (you
will only be able to open the grating if you have used the Hunk-O-Matic
three times already). In side the grating will be a puddle of
developing fluid. Use the sponge to get the liquid.
The developing fluid is only useful with Michael (to develop
the Commando Package). |
| Stamps |
At some point in the game,
the doorbell will ring. This is the delivery man leaving off a package.
If you are quick enough, you can have someone take the package
before Weird Ed answers the door. On attempting to open the package,
some unused stamps will fall off. You can use these stamps
to mail your own package |
| Tentacle Chow |
Found in the back storage
room (off the dining room). Feeds tentacles, but they really don't
like the stuff too much. |
| Tools |
Found in the trunk of the
Edsel (in the garage). Remember, you need the yellow key
to open the trunk, and be strong enough to open the garage (use the
Hunk-O-Matic three times). Great for fixing things - especially wires
(like the wires in the room with the boarded window).. |
| Undeveloped film |
Only in the game if Michael is one
of the characters. This item is found in front of the mansion, on
the ground by the bushes (not the bushes infront of the grating).
As michael is the photographer, he must develope these photos (which
are actually Weird Ed's prints). |
| Water |
There are two kinds of
water - regular and radioactive. Regular water can be found in the
kitchen. Use the regular jar of water in the microwave WITH
the envelope (from the safe). This will "unseal"
the envelope and allow you to use it later. Radioactive water can
be found in the swimming pool, and is essential for reaching the telescope
room. First, fill the glass jar with water from the swimming
pool, then use the jar of water on the man-eating plant.
Then, be sure to feed the plant a can of pepsi before trying
to climb it. For fun, use the radioactive jar of water in
the microwave (be sure to save first). |
| Water Faucet Handle |
Found in the garage. To
open the garage, you need to be strong enough (use the Hunk-O-Matic
three times). Great for any faucet that needs a handle - like the
bathtub that Dead Cousin Ted is in. |
| Week Old Roast
|
Found in the dining room. |
| Yellow Key |
Another key, found in the
Green Tentacle's room. This one fits into the trunk of the Edsel (in
the garage). To open the garage, you need to be strong enough (use
the Hunk-O-Matic three times) |
